Why it works

The eye goes to whatever is different from the rest of the frame. If most of a shot is cold blue and one part is warm orange, the warm part is what people see first. Each of these four prompts asks for that in one line.

Put warm light where you want people to look. In the wildfire, hot orange firelight against the deep cold blue of the unburnt valley and the night makes the fire the only warm thing in the frame. Everything else is dark, so you see the fire first.

Make the background cold. In the wolf shot, the cold blue-white of moonlit snow turns the snow, the trees and the fog blue and gray. The warm lantern glow is the one warm light against all of it.

Shine warm sun into a dark forest. warm gold light shafts cut down through the redwoods. The gold stands out because the trunks around it are dark.

Write the warm and cold into your shot. Every prompt here names both colors in the same line, with the word “against” between them: warm gold shafts of late sun through the canopy against the cool blue-green of the moss and concrete shade. Use the same pattern in your own prompts: the warm light, then “against”, then the cold color of the background.

Before you run it

Use the same settings. All four were made with --style raw --stylize 250 --v 8.2.

To make it yours, keep the warm-against-cold line and change the rest. Swap the subject, the place and the time of day. The color split works for any shot.
