IDENTITY - 3D ANIMATION, CUT, 30s, PBR with cel-shaded accents, saturated palette (regolith grey-brown, storm dust ochre, beacon amber, greenhouse green, shutter steel blue-grey), volumetric dust, 24fps, no grain. Utilitarian engineered proportions throughout, machinery built for a job and not for an audience. CONSISTENCY: one station throughout, identical module layout and identical greenhouse position in every exterior shot.

CAST - SURFACE STATION: low bermed modules half buried in regolith, linked by short covered walkways, armoured shutters over every viewport and intake, hazard beacons on the corners, dust-scoured panels and stencilled unit numbers. Nothing is tall and nothing is a glass tower. This station is the only structure anywhere on the plain; there are no other buildings, camps, masts or vehicles in any shot. GREENHOUSE MODULE: the only transparent structure on the station and the only part of it not dug into the ground, a low glazed vault sitting proud on the open surface beside the buried modules because the plants inside need light, vivid green rows clearly visible through the glass, armour panels stowed on visible external tracks. Its exposure must be obvious in every wide shot. Every shutter and panel moves on visible mechanisms, rollers and rails, and never dissolves or fades. OUTSIDE VEGETATION: sparse low grey-green cushion plants clinging in the lee of rocks, nothing lush anywhere outside. THE STORM: opaque brown dust, never cloud and never rain. No people appear at any point.

SYNOPSIS - A dust storm crosses the plain toward a low buried station. Shutter by shutter the station seals itself, the greenhouse armour closes last over the only green on the moon, and the storm takes everything. Rising, methodical, protective.

LOCATION - a barren grey-brown plain under a thin atmosphere at late afternoon, scattered boulders, empty horizon in every direction with nothing built on it except the one station, a pale washed-out sky going ochre toward one horizon, a brown storm wall crossing the plain, sharp shadows and no cloud.

[0-5s] Macro, a low grey-green cushion plant in the lee of a boulder, its leaves beginning to shiver as the first wind reaches it.
[5-9s] Wide establishing, the whole station alone on an empty plain, low modules dug into the regolith and one glazed greenhouse vault sitting proud and unburied on the surface beside them, its glass catching the last sun and the green rows plainly visible inside, and far beyond it the storm front, a brown wall from ground to sky, visibly moving toward them.
[9-11s] Tight, a corner hazard beacon switching from steady white to pulsing amber.
[11-14s] Medium, the first armoured shutter dropping down over a viewport on its rails and locking with a bolt throw.
[14-17s] Tight inside the greenhouse, vivid green rows under clean daylight, glass still open to the sky.
[17-23s] Sustained shot inside the greenhouse as the armour panels roll closed over the glass from both ends in sequence, daylight narrowing to bands and then to a single strip lying across the green rows, interior lamps fading up amber as the daylight goes, the last gap sealing shut, camera holds on the rows throughout while the light changes over them.
[23-26s] Macro back outside on the cushion plant as the leading edge of the storm hits, flattening it against the rock, holding it down, dust streaming past.
[26-30s] Very high wide, the storm swallowing the whole station, dust erasing the modules one after another and the sealed greenhouse vault the last shape to disappear, one amber beacon still pulsing somewhere inside the murk.

AUDIO -
[0s] thin high wind, grit ticking against rock, nothing else
[5s] wind rising, a low structural hum from the station, the storm still too far off to hear
[9s] beacon relay clicking over, an alarm tone starting somewhere inside
[11s] shutter rails running, a hard bolt throw, wind climbing
[14s] muffled interior, irrigation ticking, wind faint through the glass
[17s] armour panels rolling on their tracks in sequence, the wind outside dropping away to almost nothing as each one seals, interior lamps humming up, ending in near silence with only the irrigation running
[23s] full storm outside, dust hissing high and thin, grit blasting rock
[26s] sustained thin roar, structure moaning, the beacon tone barely carrying through it

DIALOGUE - none. No speech, no voices, no radio chatter, no crew comms, no station announcements, no shouting, no vocalisations of any kind at any point in the clip. Alarm tones stay tones and never resolve into a voice.

Why it works

Six things are load-bearing here. None of them are about the look.

The greenhouse is the only glass on the station. Every other opening is armoured from the first frame. That single design decision is what makes the ending mean something: when the greenhouse seals last, you understand what the entire armoured station is for, and nobody had to say it. If you take one thing from this prompt, take that. Decide what the clip is about, then find the physical fact that states it.

The greenhouse is also the only thing not buried. Everything else is dug into the regolith for protection, but plants need light, so it has to sit out in the open. That gives its vulnerability an engineering reason instead of making it a coincidence, and it makes the stakes legible in one wide shot.

The hero beat is a light change, not a movement. The camera holds still on the rows for six seconds and the armour panels do all the work from off the edges of frame. Daylight narrows to bands, then to one strip, then to lamp amber. Most people reach for a camera move when they want a big moment. Holding still and letting the light change is harder to think of and much better.

Green is the only saturated colour in the whole clip. The palette is five colours and four of them are grey-brown, ochre, steel and amber. That restraint is why three seconds of a greenhouse lands at all.

Thin atmosphere changes the sound. Wind hisses high and thin instead of roaring deep. It also justifies the sparse vegetation outside and the existence of wind at all, which an airless moon would not have. Physics you commit to gives you free detail everywhere.

The DIALOGUE - none block exists because the model will invent speech. Unspecified audio slots get filled with the model’s guess. An earlier clip generated radio chatter with no dialogue anywhere in the prompt, purely because the scene implied a crew. Note that the prompt also says No people appear at any point in CAST, and that clause turned out to matter more than the dialogue ban itself. Removing the implied cause beats forbidding the symptom.

The structure

Eight shots across thirty seconds, with one sustained six-second beat, escalating in scale. That came out of a test where the same subject was rendered three ways: twelve shots at 2.5s, eight shots with one long beat, and five shots at 6s. Twelve fragments and drifts. Five stalls. Eight with one sustained beat won and has held on every clip since.
